Description:
Algebraic Geometry is a branch of mathematics that occupies a central place in modern mathematics with connections to such classical areas as complex analysis, topology and number theory, as well as modern applied and computer algebra. If combines techniques of commutative algebra with the intuition and language of geometry.

This course offers an introduction to the subject with emphasis on fundamental concepts of classical algebraic geometry, basic apparatus of the commutative algebra, computational techniques, and explicit constructions.

Books:

Computer algebra:
Macaulay2, Singular, Sage.

Prerequisite:
Abstract Algebra.
